2018 Goals: Progress Made in April

A few goals done, a few new ones added that are branched off of the other goals, and made a little progress on a few.  Kind of wanted to make more progress on some, but still, not a horrible month.  I’m thinking next year though I’m going to redo how I do my goals, or maybe I’ll start in July when I do my mid-year revisit.  We’ll see 🙂  Meanwhile, I had to revise one due to the financial situation, namely two senior pets are expensive.


  1. Contribute $2,000 to my Roth IRA
  2. Mortgage balance under $120,000
  3. Credit Card paid in full

Fitness and Health

  1. Strength training targets
    1. 40 lbs for lying leg curl
    2. 60 lbs for fly
    3. 40 lbs for reverse lateral
    4. 70 lbs for lat pull downs
    5. 30 lbs dumbbells for the bench exercises
    6. 50 lbs for triceps push downs
    7. 60 lbs on seated row
    8. 40 lbs for leg extension
  2. Swimming targets
    1. 30 minutes, 800 yards
    2. 45 minutes, 1000 yards
    3. 50m freestyle without having to pause at the wall
    4. 100m freestyle without having to pause
    5. 200m kick without having to pause
  3. Dental work
    1. Fillings (three rounds)
    2. Deep cleaning
    3. Cleaning
    4. Teeth replacement

Around the House

  6. Declutter/straighten every room in the house – modified this a bit to split between clean/declutter and bigger projects that will get added as needed to the end of the list or dealt with when funds better allow
