ColdFusion Training: Session 1

This is the first of several sessions of ColdFusion 8 training I
conducted for my fellow developers in my department. We all had
exposure to and were experienced in ColdFusion, however most were still
using primarily ColdFusion 5 coding. With Adobe's release of their official training materials
in April 09, I was able to create our own training tailer to our needs
using their materials as a basis. These sessions are not exact copies
of the Adobe materials. I combined their units, removed all “homework”,
the Dreamweaver dependencies, occasionally reordered the content order,
and basically rewrote large chunks. As such, any errors here are likely
mine. I did, however, retain some of their example images and some of
their basic example code and queries.

The first four sessions cover Adobe's Introduction to ColdFusion 8
course, with the first session being a combination of their first three
units. It took me approximately 1.5 hours to go through this session,
conducted on April 16, 2009, including tangents. 🙂
