Goals for 2016

Every year I set goals for myself across various areas of my personal life that I want to try to accomplish during the year.  Some are small, some are big, some are rather “well, duh,” but still, they help me have targets to aim at and remind of things I need to do, so I keep setting them.  🙂

Usually, I post these on my LiveJournal account, but since they are generally public there, I decided this would be one of the first bits of content to move over here to the new blog format.  I’ll also post the monthly goal updates that I used to post there here as well.

As I mentioned in a recent post there, I’m still not entirely decided on how I want to deal with posts.  Right now, I’m leaning towards anything that would have been public on LJ will go here, anything that wouldn’t will stay there as I’ve yet to find a WordPress plug-in that gives me anywhere near the amount of control I had on post viewing that LJ did.

So with all that said, let’s get on to my goals for 2016!  I had a much harder time coming up with my goals for this year than I usually do, maybe do to stress, but it’s a start.

My goals are grouped in broad categories and I sometimes chain my goals (i.e. make goals that lead from one to the next).  I do try to make them “SMART” goals, though how well I do that is another matter.
